Let's start with a few summaries of all the happenings.
Donny and Brenda Plank were down visiting family and invited me to hang out. It was really an awesome time. They were all great people. We went to Big Top flea market where I picked up some lady bug salt and pepper shakers. No salt or pepper yet. We were also on the hunt for a dining table. All the while, Donny and I found this new invention that we had to buy that consisted of beads that soaked up water and felt pretty awesome. So I bought a couple...and well Donny - he bought out the store because "Brenda will like it." Haha. My house warming gift was a big stick of bamboo. They also invited me out to dinner at a barbeque grill. I hate barbeque so I got chicken tenders - the only non-barbeque item on the menu. Still a much-needed good time. Since I have no microwarve I warmed them up the next day for lunch in the George Foreman. We also all took a ride to see Terri and Cindy Wood. They have a gorgeous place. I am sure I ate too many chips and dip there. They are sooo welcoming and I am really glad that I was invited back!
Sheila provided 2 chairs for my linai (Thanks Cindy for the accurate spelling!) and some plants to make it "homy" for my friends. I thought this was funny. Always looking out for me. She was right though - it made a good impression!

Two Thursdays ago I traveled to Tampa while going over the Skyway bridge - that my mom would not be happy with. I was super excited to pick up my best friend! And her boy toy, Chris. Tampa airport is huge but I managed my way around. Very smoothly I might add. I showed them around my apartment and the complex and got the reactions that I wanted :) Complete approval. However I only had a few hours with them before work. The next day, Bob (another best friend!) flew into Tampa and Nicole and Chris had to go get him because I was at work. Work really gets in the way. Either way I got another wonderful critique from him and I was/am even more satisfied with my place lol.
We went to a couple beaches, a flea market, the movies to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D, A Pirates and Yankees spring trainging game for $11 (Yes I saw Jeter :)), out to eat way too much, hung out by the pool, drank of course, and took a road trip to see my best friend from home Kayla Bryant. Her boyfriends parents own an apartment down here. It was awesome! They treated us to food, drinks, and a pool/hottub. I got picked on countless amounts of times for being so white. It's a working progress.
I want to THANK Nicole, Bob, and Chris for chipping in with groceries, the sweet plate made for me, the yard sale lamp, the beach unmbrella, and the dishwashing soap! Just thanks for being awesome :)
Work.
Work is going well. I seem to be catching on really quick and many people I work with are not way older than I am. This is nice. I am pretty close to being the youngest around. No big deal. All in all everyone is very nice and soooo helpful. I still am just so amazed with the complex and everything it consists of. There is a bit of downtime with my position which I am not liking at all. It is hard to fill the downtime and I get bored. From what I am hearing it gets busier during the summer. Maybe I am just looking for more of a challenge. We'll see. Either way I am happy with the way things are going and I hope to do something amazing. There is more for me. The kids I work with are highly impressive. I like learning their stories and even more watching them play if I get a chance. I still really do not mind the shift that I work (2:45 - 11:00). I kind of like how everything is going actually. My days off are Monday and Wednesday. Yea let's not talk about that one. I get my first paycheck on Monday - WOO HOO!
I took my friends back to Tampa yesterday, Thursday. It was a sad day but I feel good being on my own again. This past week I was off my game. Eating bad and the house a mess. I am starting to get everything back in order. I have to do luandry soon.....ewwwww.
I got mail! Mom and Dad sent me 7 boxes in the mail consisting of the rest of my junk. I am officially moved out of PA and moved into FL. They also sent cookies that my drunk friends ate while I was at work. I did have a couple lol. Next time can I request white chocolate chip or peanut butter or even sugar cookie please? They threw in some decor that I want to decorate the linai with too. Mom also sent me a house warming card. I thought it was nice until I opened it up and there was no money. However she was kind enough to place some of my bills in their that were sent to the house. Thank you mom. Clearly that warmed the house.
Somewhere in between all of this I got a new dining table! I even put it all together with my first tool kit. Be impressed. It only took me one hour. I complimented myself outloud when it was done.
I also purchased internet. It came with some sort of HD Package with an additional 200 channels and an HD box. This means I can watch Biggest Loser and full marathon episodes of CSI in HD. Why do I need this? I don't.
Let's talk about Kyle for a minute. We got into a fight. He wants to fly down again but I feel it is to expensive. I called a couple airlines and they all said the same thing - "For the months of March and April flights will be outrageous due to spring break." Tis' the season I guess. I won the fight and told him not to come. We can deal with time apart. He was angry.
The next day: he booked the flight.
Kyle will be coming down on the 17th - St. Patrick's Day and actually we might be going out with a new friend from work. I hope! I am starting his to-do list for my place as well.
I am sure I left out some things but it's okay!
Today was my first Hurricane filled day. There were warnings all day long and work was put on Lockdown. We had to make sure no kids were outside and make sure they all stayed inside. It is harder than you think. Also I did not sleep very well. The wind was so bad last night I woke up every 5 minutes because I thought someone was breaking in. A weakness of mine is thunder and lightening storms too. I was pretty much screwed.
I am starting to feel a little tired from all of this eventfulness. I get mad at myself if I sleep in too much so I think I am off to bed. No plans tomorrow - I am okay with that.
I hope I satisfied any questions that might be lurking out there! This was a nice way to end the night though for myself. It is still thundering so I will be sleeping with the Ipod tonight!
